What engines are there to choose from?

When it comes to the engine, one word comes to mind: Fuel-efficiency. The 2019 Compass is powered by the 2.4-liter Tigershark which delivers 32 miles per gallon (mpg) highway and best-in-class 4×4 fuel economy of 31 mpg highway when mated to the six-speed manual transmission, but the engine offers a six-speed automatic as well. With the Limited and the Trailhawk trims, you get a nine-speed transmission.
